TPMS: Safety First

Do you know that driving on underinflated tires is a leading cause of tire wear and tire failure (two of the most frequent causes of tire blow-up) and that each year, 260,000 car accidents are due to underinflated tires in North America alone (1)? The TPMS system offers valuable protection because it does exactly what its name says: it continually monitors your tire pressure.

Saving on Fuel and Tire Replacement!

The TPMS system will generally monitor the pressure and, in some cases, the temperature inside your vehicle four tires. Typically, wheel mounted sensor/transmitters will monitor every three to four seconds. Thanks to the TPMS technology, you can save on fuel and extend the useful life of your tires.

Because TPMS sensors must be recalibrated, the process of demounting and mounting of tires on a TPMS-equipped vehicle must only be entrusted to a recognized tire specialist.

Your UNIPNEU adviser has the required training and expertise to provide adequate maintenance or repair needed on your vehicle TPMS system. To check the list of UNIPNEU dealers offering TPMS maintenance in your area, click on the Your Dealer tab featured on this Web site.
