Choosing the Right Size

The right tire size for your vehicle is the size of the original tires. This information can easily be found in the owner’s manual or on a label that is usually affixed on the door pillar on the driver’s side. This label also specifies the recommended tire inflation pressures.

It is possible to change the size of your tires for larger or narrower ones so as to enhance winter traction or summer driving performance. These changes can also involve the size of the wheels. In all cases, it is absolutely imperative to observe the outside diameter of the original tire in order not to jeopardize systems such as the speedometer, ABS brakes or fuel injection.
